PROGRESS IN CURING HIV
PROGRESS IN CURING HIV
Advance over the last 30 years have helped transform HIV from fatal disease into a chronic manageable condition for many people. Innovation in treatment and access are at the care of this progress. The advent of antiretrovial therapy (ART), once - daily single tablet regimes with three medications combined into one pill and many subsequent improvements in single tablet regimes combining efficacy and longterm safety represent some of the most significant milestones that have helped bring radical change in the outlook for people living with HIV
Progress in treatment has been transformative, but significant gaps care still remain. HIV continues to be a major global public health issue
Globally it's estimated that more than 36 million people are living HIV with acute challenges. With the goal of reducing the individual and societal burden of HIV,prevention of new infectious is as important as treating those who are living with HIV.
We all believe that anyone living with or at risk of HIV should benefit from latest treatment innovation access to medicines. For almost 30 years we have at fore front to fight against HIV by leading advances in treatment, prevention and access. Our experience, dedication and infrastructure are helping us move forward and make major investment in further expanding the options for HIV treatment and prevention. Equally as important, our connection with the field, built dacades of collaboration research and development, enable us to help advance preclinical and clinical programs with the goal of achieving functional cure of HIV
Prevention Methods and practices are essential too in the fight against HIV.The development of a vaccine would save millions of lives. However, researchers haven't yet discovered an effective vaccine for HIV but through taking seriously the preventive methods from acquiring the infection would be better.
There is no cure for HIV but there are ways of preventing and controlling oneself from getting infected but human beings are ignorant and go on risking there lives but for those who are infected can take good care of themselves by taking ARV's and having a balanced diet as prescribed to make them look healthy.

As we all know that their is no cure for HIV/AIDs found yet but their is only ways to help to reduce the virus in the body of the infected individuals so its only would be better to use the neccesary protections given like use of condoms or by abstaining

ReplyDeleteAbstinence among youth and faithfulness among married persons is the best preventive measure against HIV ...prevention is better than cure. ..The constant challenges one goes through when infected . The hospital trips and what nots should be warning enough that people need to prevent it... As in this case many scientists have researched far and wide but no cure has been found...

HIV is only manageable but cannot be cured. The first attempt to cure HIV was done in Berlin , through a bone marrow transplant. Several other transplants were done on few people but still not cured. Finding alternative drugs stronger than ARVs to sustain ones physical and mental health would be of ease

There's no cure for HIV and AIDS.I suggest people live with HIV should start antiretroviral therapy(ART) as soon as possible though ART can't cure HIV but HIV Medicines might help the infected people to live longer, healthier lives.. these ART can also reduced the risk of HIV transmissions and it's main goal is to reduce a persons viral load to an undetectable level. But all I can Say is that Abstinence is the only 100% effective way to prevent HIV.

ReplyDeletePrevention should be major reason for controlling spread of HIV AIDS and this can happen by prevention of mother to child transmission by an elected cesarean section instead of normal delivery and prevention of transmission through blood and other blood products by screening all donated blood
ReplyDeleteNo cure exists for AIDS, but strict adherence to antiretroviral regimens (ARVs) can dramatically slow the disease's progress as well as prevent secondary infections and complications.
ReplyDeleteThere is no perfect cure for HIV. People should know what to to to be safe from it.Those infected should adhere to ARVs not to cure them but to atleast prolong their life span.
