CURE OF HIV
Traditionally, there was a traditional hearer. But, can traditional healers cure HIV? A clear distinction needs to be made between the words “cure” and “treat” .There is considerable confusion about this due to the fact that some methods and herbs appear to “treat” the symptoms of HIV but not “cure “ the infection itself. The medicine which traditional healers were used was able to strengthen immunities and treat severe symptom of HIV/AIDS, although most of people died of ignorance and believes. So in traditional, there was no cure of HIV/AIDS but instead there was a treatment of HIV/AIDS symptoms.
Enormous advances have been made due to high technology and also after the herbal medicine failed to cure. Scientists have come up with several vaccines to tests whether they can cure the virus, like ARVs, ART, and HAART By which instead of curing has transformed HIV into a chronic illness. These vaccines can help only a young HIV positive who begins treatment shortly after diagnosis today who takes his / her medicines everyday exactly as direct and who has no or limited co-existing health conditions is expected to live for several decades.
Generally there is no functional cure for HIV/AIDS although antiretroviral treatment can control the virus, meaning that people with HIV can live long and health lives.

Traditional healers used medicines that treated symptoms of HIV and strengthened the immune system though the virus is still in the body.
ReplyDeleteGood job have learnt the difference of the terms!

ReplyDeleteTreatment for hiv has come a very long
ReplyDeleteWay since it was first developed.
Hiv is a very complicated illness and one
that is clearly hard to find a cure for.
Traditional healers actually had knowledge of HIV ...their methods helped people and heightened their immune system...
ReplyDeleteBut HIV is better prevented than looking for a cure that is proving futile

Despite the fact that in traditional there were medicine to cure Hiv i strongly believe that the victims of Hiv died from it because Hiv has no cure.Even today Hiv has no Cure,is just some medicines which have being discovered to supplement the healthy of Hiv victims and give them longer lifes. The government has totally done enough to reduce the attack of Hiv by provision of Hiv education in schools, offering guiding and counselling activities and provision condoms but is so sad that most people do what they are told not to do thus the Hiv infection rate is increasing.I think the best cure of Hiv is just individual to prevent themselves from being attacked by HIV and each individual should put more consideration on his or her life and examine how healthy life has value by Christine.
ReplyDeletePrevention is better than cure.
DeleteLife long and healthy and abstain
There is no cure for HIV yet. However, treatment can control HIV and enable people to live a long and healthy life. This may include attaining an undetectable viral load. If you think you’ve been at risk of HIV, it's important to get tested. Testing is the only way to know for sure if you have the virus.
ReplyDeleteIf you’ve already tested and your result is positive, you’ll be advised to start antiretroviral treatment as soon as possible. Treatment is the only way to manage HIV and prevent it from damaging your immune system. It also reduces the risk of passing HIV on to your sexual partners.

There is no functional cure for HIV yet. However, treatment can control HIV and enable an infected individuals to live a long and healthy life.
ReplyDeleteHIV is a deadly disease But due to help of ARVS people who are infected with the virus can live longer
ReplyDeleteInvesion of Arvs was introduced to help the infected people live longer thus encouraging people to be tested early so as to know their status to proceed taking the Arvs to prolong their lives by Faiza
ReplyDeleteIts true that HIV/AIDS has no cure, one can only control the HIV infection by taking the A RVs as required but not as they want, the infected persons should put in mind that the A RVs should be taken on a daily basis or as advised by the doctor and if they stop taking it the HIV infection will keep on mutating and weakening their immune systems and thereby leading to early deaths.
ReplyDeleteScientists have tried their best in looking for the cure of HIV but all in vain. In traditional lives, people believed that Aids can be cured by using herbs and other drugs but all this is false.in summary, up to date there is no cure of the disease but it can be prevented through abstaining and being faithful. ReplyDeleteTraditional herbal medicine was way better than this modern ARVs since it had no side effects on the body...Edward
ReplyDeleteDo ARVs have side effects?
DeleteYes. For example appetite loss, fatigue, high blood sugar, lipodystropy, lactic acidosis, e.t.c
DeleteNow HIV is a very complicated illnes, traditional doctors used herbs to treat not even to cure.in todays case is happening the same .ARVS treat but not curering....the beat way is to know that HIV is real and take the preferred methoda to prevent the spread
ReplyDeleteBy ViCTOR
I think this traditional healers did the same job with ARVs, because they both dont cure hiv instead they treat, which helps people live longer,
ReplyDeleteI think most traditional healers believed that having sex with a virgin was the cure of HIV hence recommending it to infected person without knowing it was a way of spreading further the disease. The best cure is to abstain if you are not married, for those who are married they should be faithful to their partner and for those who are already infected they should take ARVS medicine as per prescribed by the medical doctor.
ReplyDeletei think that we should be thankful to the advancement of technology which helped by creating the medicines for HIV/AIDS which is realy helpful to people who have HIV can live normal and live long lives .
ReplyDeleteNo cure exist for AIDs, but strict adherence to antiretroviral regimens(ARVs) can dramatically slow the disease's progress as well as prevent secondary infections and complications
ReplyDeleteHIV has no so people with the virus should use arvs so that it can help to reduce the growth of the virus in your body

ReplyDeleteHIV has no so people with the virus should use arvs so that it can help to reduce the growth of the virus in your body
ReplyDeleteI think the only cure for Hiv is to abstain ( youths) and to be faithful( married people)and those infected should take their medication seriously and put in mind that Hiv has no cure.
ReplyDeletethe virus is very dangerous because it affects white blood cells especially the CD4 cells and it makes it difficult for doctors to find the cure.
ReplyDeleteThe fact is that HIV/AIDS does not have any cure but at least we have medicines to control and prevent us from being infected. By; Samia
ReplyDeleteFor now the best thing to do is take care of yourself. Abstain, use condoms(which is not 100% safe) or stay faithful for the married people. Get tested regularly and if you have the virus start antiretroviral treatment as soon as possible and keep taking it as regularly as prescribed.
ReplyDeleteThe use of traditional medicine and Natural Health Products is widespread among those living with HIV,especially in Africa. Some herbal and traditional medicines are not well-researched, are poorly regulated and may contain adulterated products.Despite this, many patients take a broad range of traditional products in addition to their conventional therapeutic drugs risking adverse side effects such as skin disorders, nausea, depression, insomnia, and weakness
ReplyDeleteThere is still no cure for HIV,However scientific effort to improve treatment, prevention and awareness tools are continuing to have a positive impact on many lives until a cure is discovered
ReplyDeleteHIV is not a traditional illness and so far there is no hard evidence to believe that traditional medicine can treat HIV and cure AIDs , However certain traditional medicine may help to treat many of the symptom of opportunistic infections that are part of AIDs......by khatra Mohamed
ReplyDeleteHIV has no cure it only has ways of prevention to those who are not infected and use of ARVs to those who are infected soo take precautions of the disease.
ReplyDeleteThere's no cure for hiv , although antiretroviral treatment can control the virus, meaning that people with hiv can live long and healthy lives ..most research is looking for a functional cure where hiv is reduced to undetectable and harmless levels in the body permanently, but some residual virus may remain .............by Immaculate
ReplyDeleteThere is no cure for hiv/aids but ARVS can be used to help in reducing the rate of spreading virus in the body therefore for one not to suffer he/she should abstain from it
ReplyDeleteSince there is no complete cure for HIV,people need to be extra careful and apply safety steps. If possible, they should abstain.

Regular testing is the best thing to do for now. If you have the virus, start on the arvs treatment as soon as possible and taking it regularly as prescribed .

Since there is no cure of HIV/AIDs,abstain it for your good health ....by Rahma
ReplyDeleteThere is no cure for hiv although antiretroviral treatment can control the virus meaning that people with hiv can live long and healthy .by Zahara
ReplyDeleteTaking herbal medicinecan be dangerous as this will not protect your immune system from infectionsnd may interact poorly with ARVS if yiu are takung them along side treatment.
ReplyDeleteThere is no cure for HIV and AIDS although ARVs can control the virus from spreading.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the technology first for discovering some medicines which can prevent the harms of this virus, though there is no cure for hiv but as we compare the tradional ways of prventing or the medicines which were used to treat the HIV i can say scientifically we are advanced.secondly, yet the cure of HIV is not discovered it is my hope by 2030 it will be already discovered.BY FAITH
ReplyDeleteHIV being a worldwide disease,if one is infected he/she should learn to accept the situation because there is no cure only medication by use of ARVs which helps to improve the immune system from being damaged by the virus.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the trend, scientists have tried and are still trying to find the cure of this terrifying disease, but after their research they came up with medicine to treat and prolong the lives of them affected by this pandemic
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion I would say prevention is better than cure. People should abstain which is 100% sure someone won't aquire the virus in anyway .
ReplyDeleteI suggest people should take note on ABCD method to protect themselves. Since the drugs invented to cure HIV AIDS isn't 100% effective
ReplyDeleteThere is no cure for HIV but there is atleast prevention and control.Medicines such as ARVs has been discovered to boost the immunity of the infected people
ReplyDeleteThere is no cure for hiv yet treatment can control hiv nd enable them to live a long
