*IMPORTANCE OF HIV/AIDS IN THE WORLD*
Hiv is a viral disease that affects the immunity of human body by weakening it.Once one is infected ,the immune system becomes weak and hence the normal functioning of the body is altered with.The emergence of this disease have become a bother in many countries since it has adverse effects.Many are the disadvantages which have been brought about by the disease e.g death,low level of mortality rate and has also led to a great fall in the level of economy of the affected countries.However,despite of it having the disadvantages,it also have importances in the normal human life:
#Population control:In most of the countries population have been high and it has caused various difficulties in those countries especially the developing ones.This issue of population have caused a great impact in the countries' economy and they have ended up in a very low economic state.However,the emergence of Hiv/Aids as a serious disease have helped to reduce population in these countries.Hiv/Aids having been declared a national disaster in various countries has a great impact in the economy.
#Control of moral behavior between people of opposite sex:Since Hiv/Aids was declared a national disaster in Kenya in 1984,many people were afraid of contracting the disease .Due to the fact that many people had suffered from the disease and many deaths had been announced ,both the youths and the old people started taking caution when it comes to involvement of certain activities such as sexual intercourse.In addition ,various traditional practices have reduced among the people which include;wife inheritance,in the traditional societies in case of death of a man,the brothers or the relatives were supposed to take over the role of the deceased by inheriting the wife.This was an easy way of transmitting the disease through sexual intercourse but since the emergence of Hiv/Aids,this has greatly reduced and hence the rate of transmission has decreased.
