HIV/AIDS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. The epidemic of HIV/AIDS in developing countries. Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) in which the immune system fails to develop any defense against the foreign invaders. Infection with HIV occurs by the transfer of blood, semen and breast milk. HIV/AIDS is a global problem and it results nearly 25 million deaths world wide. Developing countries like Pakistan and sub-saharan Africa have issues regarding public health. Currently epidemic of HIV and AIDS is established in Pakistan and Sub-saharan countries and there is a threat of an expanded HIV outbreak. The major reason is that population is engaging in high risk practices of getting HIV infection, low awareness about HIV and treacherous blood transfusion practices. Local NGO's,National and international organisation are warning that in new future these developing countries may experience bad situation regarding HIV/AIDS if not taken seriously.
