FACTORS CONTRIBUTING TO HIGH INCIDENCES OF HIV/AIDS

ILLETARCY
In most third world countries a large percentage of people know the disease exists but lack knowledge of the aspects (ways of transmission or preventive measures). Thus they continue engaging in unsafev practices that spread the virus.
POVERTY
In most developing countries a high population are poor thus need for survival which means doing anything  to earn a living including engaging in sexual activities which is a high risk factor for the disease.
IGNORANCE
Most people are fully aware of the disease but still involve in practices that fuel its transmission. This ignorance is adversely driving the HIV epidemic in the whole world
DRUG AND ALCOHOL ABUSE
This is quite common among youth in developing regions. According  to studies ,new consistent HIV infections resulting fromsharing of injectors among drug users. In some other cases, alcohol users are not able to make wise decisions when getting involved in sexual activities.
TRIBAL CONFLICTS AND CIVIL WARS
Third world countries experiencing  tribal conflicts and civil wars for a long time in the long run lack enough healthcare services to cater for HIV/AIDS victims. Moreover, not enough awareness programs and VCT services are provided.
PROMISCUITY
This is the leading contributing factor, many people are having more than one sexual partner. This is practiced by both young adults and married people. A big number  of people in realationships are practicing infidelity with no concern of its consequences.
LACK OF ACCESS TO MATERNITY SERVICES
Developing countries lack enough maternity services for al pregnant women. Most women in remote areas  bear children without help of trained healthcare providers .
CONCLUSION
Spread of HIV/AIDS is contributed due to mostly human ignorance and promiscuity.if people can avoid this then a reduced prevalence rate will be achieved.
